Tim Be Told

The "God Songs" vinyl is finally here! Only pressed 250 of these because it's hella expensive 😭. But it's beautiful and shiny. So if you like that sort of thing you can grab one here. https://timbetold.bandcamp.com/album/god-songs or on our website timbetold.com/shop

I had the privilege of working with some incredible musicians on this album. This record could not have been what it was without these talented people who were generous with their time, creativity and passion. Not only that but they are all wonderful, humble and kind human beings. Making this album was an oasis in the middle of some really difficult years and I am so grateful for the artists who helped make it possible.

It took 5 years to get this album done. "God Songs" turned out to be a much different album than I anticipated. My original plan was for it to be a short compilation of middle-of-the-road Christian songs. But after enduring some of the hardest experiences of my life these last few years, my beliefs about God (and really about everything) changed on a fundamental level.

The songs that came out during that season surprised me. What I thought would be an album about affirming certain religious doctrines ended up being about letting go of certainty and surrendering to the wilderness of the unknown. Leaving space for mystery and giving voice to the parts of me I had long exiled.
Wherever you are in your journey, I hope there’s something here that meets you along the way.
