Anyone who has owned a Bichon Frise can attest to the amazing joy they give to their human and canine companions.

They seem to have one sole purpose in life: to love and be loved by all. We are a foster based rescue in Southern California.

💙 Foster Needed: Colton 💙

At just 2 years old and around 10–11 pounds, Colton is the kind of dog who steals hearts wherever he goes. He’s dog-friendly, has been doing great using the dog door, and is settling in beautifully while he waits for a more permanent foster home.

Colton is currently in a temporary foster home in Palmdale, but he needs a committed Southern California foster where he can continue to thrive. He’s receiving treatment for some skin issues that are already improving, and now he just needs a safe, stable place to land while he waits for his forever family.

Can you open your home to Colton? BRB provides medical care and support — you provide the love. 🤍

Please DM us and complete our volunteer application linked in our bio if you can foster.

💙 Welcome to BRB, Domino (formerly Peepeye at Palmdale). 💙

Domino is a 2-year-old, 10-pound pup who was rescued from a hoarding situation involving 19 dogs. Understandably, he’s a little nervous right now and is staying in temporary boarding while we search for a foster home.

What he needs most is a patient foster who can help him decompress and learn that he’s finally safe. Another friendly dog in the home would be a bonus, but not required.

We’re looking for a foster anywhere in Southern California, and transport can be arranged.

Please DM us and complete our volunteer application linked in our bio if you can help Domino start his new life. ❤️

Thank you to Jennifer for giving Domino his freedom ride!

Sometimes love means making an incredibly difficult decision.

Emmie’s previous owner adored her, but as dementia progressed, caring for her became increasingly challenging. Her daughter lovingly stepped in to help find Emmie the fresh start she deserved, knowing it was the kindest thing for both of them. One detail that touched our hearts: Emmie came with a special quilt handmade by her mom — a blanket she sleeps with every night. 🥹

When Rhonda and Bob reached out, they were still grieving the loss of their beloved dog just a few months earlier. They weren’t even looking for a female dog, but one photo of Emmie changed everything. After driving from San Diego to Thousand Oaks to meet her, they completely fell in love. Now Emmie is settling into a home filled with love, patience, and understanding — exactly what she deserves.

Happy tails, Emmie. We think your mom would be very happy knowing you’re safe, loved, and still sleeping with your special quilt. 💕

💚 Adopted: Sage 💚

Just a few months ago, Sage arrived from the Lancaster shelter unsure of what the future held. Today, we’re thrilled to share that Sage has found her forever home and officially started her next chapter. 🏡✨

A very special thank you to her fosters and Brenda for opening your homes and giving her the stability she needed while she waited for her forever family. Foster homes are where healing begins, and Sage was lucky to have you in her corner.

And to .valenca, thank you for choosing rescue and giving Sage the forever home she deserves. As a chef, a pup already named Sage couldn’t have been a more perfect match — some things are just meant to be. 🌿

From the Lancaster shelter to a forever family of her own, Sage’s journey is complete.

🐾 This Week at the Vet 🩺

Behind every adoption story is a whole lot of veterinary care, diagnostics, treatments, follow-up appointments, and dedicated fosters making sure our dogs get everything they need to thrive.

This week alone, BRB pups logged 5 vet visits, including a dental, x-rays, lab work, skin treatments, post-op care, and wellness exams. Every appointment helps move a dog one step closer to comfort, healing, and ultimately, a forever home.

Veterinary care is one of the biggest expenses in rescue, but it’s also one of the most important. Thank you to our fosters, volunteers, donors, and veterinary partners who help make these second chances possible.

💙 From Angel…to Frankie…to Sparky 💙

Some dogs leave a mark on your heart before they ever leave the shelter.

Before he arrived at North Central, Sparky (formerly Frankie, formerly Angel) was hit by a car and suffered serious injuries, including fractures to his pelvis and lower spine. Despite the pain, the uncertainty, and everything he’d been through, he never stopped fighting.

What followed after he left the shelter was recovery, careful monitoring, and a foster home willing to walk beside him every step of the way. Through it all, Sparky showed us what resilience looks like.

Today, we’re thrilled to share that Sparky has found his forever home with . 🎉❤️

To his amazing foster, — thank you for opening your home and heart to a dog who needed extra time, extra care, and extra love. Because of you, Sparky got the chance he deserved.

Welcome to BRB, Charles & Lady Di ❤️

Sometimes rescue stories come together in the most unexpected ways.

On Wednesday, we welcomed Charles and Lady Di to BRB after they were owner surrendered to the Baldwin Park shelter. A compassionate adopter .realestate stepped in and brought both dogs to safety, determined to keep them together and find rescue support. When our foster arrived at the shelter, the stars aligned, introductions were made, and the dogs were ultimately relinquished to BRB so we could help them continue their journey together.

We’re incredibly grateful that these two young pups didn’t have to spend another day wondering what would happen next. They are now safe, settling into foster care, and getting the fresh start they deserve.

A huge thank you to for stepping up to foster these sweet siblings, to for sharing them with us, and to .realestate for making sure they stayed together until rescue could take over.

Welcome to the BRB family, Charles and Lady Di. ❤️
