t only provide CPE to over 20,000 tax professionals, but also to keep them up-to-date with complex tax issues. Spidell also provides more specialized information through a live and on-demand webinar series all of which qualify for CPE. Within a few months, founder Bob Spidell launched a newsletter, Spidell’s California Taxletter®. The California Taxletter was designed to give California tax professionals practical information they need to prepare accurate state tax returns. California, federal, and accounting tax seminars, a forms service, electronic research, and special tax reports followed, but our goal remains the same: to offer solutions to California tax problems. We are a small but successful California-based company. We are dedicated to digging into California tax issues that affect California tax professionals every day. We are in constant contact with all of California’s tax agencies: FTB, EDD, BOE, and the Secretary of State’s office. With our connections, we report on new policies that the government agencies attach to new legislation. Not only do we analyze new laws, but we explain in simple terms how to use these laws to your advantage. We also actively work toward fair and reasonable tax administration and take an active role in policy and law changes that make paying taxes simpler and easier. When we hear of a problem that affects tax professionals and their clients we advocate for a solution that is reasonable for both the taxpayer and government. Our staff understands tax professionals.
