Morgan Stuart Development
Former SS/3B for Washington and 2009 National Champion.
Morgan Stuart started her business as an infield coach in 2014 and that’s turned into development of the whole athlete (including mindset, process, leadership).
It’s not a physical thing…it’s not MORE practice, it’s the right kind. And how do you know how to get that?
Come see us at The Roadmap. We just launched yesterday and a bit chunk of tickets are gone 🤯
Don’t know what ticket is right? Start answering the questions about your player on the registration page and we will show you what’s best!
The gap is small in the beginning.
Players show up to the same workouts and take a couple of reps off.
Then those same players mentally check out of whole rotations while the ones that hold themself to a higher standard are getting double the reps with 100% more focus and discipline.
That shows up in games:
- in how their teammates see them
- in what they are able to give when the pressure is on
- in what they see for their future
The player that doesn’t move with intent isn’t thinking about the future. She is just getting by the workout.
The player that hustles when no one is watching has a higher goal. It’s inside of her. It pushes her even when it would be easier to sink to the level of some around her.
A lot of players say their goal is college softball.
It’s difficult to be the driven players when you haven’t been shown what she looks like.
These are the conversations we will have—
What really matters and what doesn’t to get you to the next level.
The Roadmap Weekend. December 18-20. Registration is October 1st.
“What actually happens at The Roadmap Weekend?”
Softball training, mindset work, leadership opportunities, and conversations to help players identify the next steps.
Friday
On-field mentality with at-bat approaches, competitive mindset resets, how to recover mentally from an injury and college prep mentality with public speaking practice and overviews of what it’s like to really be there.
Saturday
High school skills in the morning and those players will help to lead the bigger clinic that night (the 3 hour event split up by ages 8-10 and 11-13 years old).
Sunday
VIP recovery day plus Rule 42 extra evaluations and interview advice from a true pro.
An experience like this has the ability to change a player from shy, unsure, and wanting a goal into a young woman determined to show up as fully herself, armed with a plan and her vision.
I really don’t know another experience like it.
Some of the confirmed guests are tagged in this post. It’s going to be epic.
Registration opens 10/1 🫡
If we are being real…
These videos are hard to watch 🤣
Not just because I think I’ve aged gracefully but…I know this kid is depressed.
She’s recounting the 2009 championship season and comparing it to how she’s doing now (spoiler…she didn’t do any better than her sophomore season in 2009).
I wish I could help the kid in this video, but the best I can do it help the kids I work with now.
I know this was me.
And I know it’s a lot of kids as they grow up in sport. Part of the beauty of sport is you work through the fear and conquer it by DOING.
What less people talk about is how constant doubt can still fester in high achievers that holds them back from greatness.
I was good. Great at times.
But I waited for something to go wrong so I was prepared for “worst case scenario.”
What that didn’t get me was…
Prepared for the best case—
What if it works out, how will you lead then?
What if you ARE that good. Can you handle being “the one?”
I couldn’t stay in this feeling as a kid or as a young adult. But our future leaders should. Kids growing up in sport need to know this is possible.
Just like the Eminem song, she’s only got one shot…don’t miss your chance to get her a roadmap.
Scholarships applications are officially open 9/25-9/29. If you have a softball player who would benefit, sit down with her and apply!
Vulnerability breeds connection.
“How was your experience?”
As a college senior, I answered:
“I learned a lot about myself.”
Simple answer.
But it carried years of losses, doubt, pressure, and being hard on myself.
I wish I had understood sooner that becoming the athlete I needed to be was also becoming a stronger person.
That’s what the Roadmap gives to young athletes:
The jolt to connect the dots.
They don’t have to wait until they are IN IT to realize their confidence hasn’t caught up.
She will still go through the hard but these players will have what I didn’t:
A better understanding of where they are, what they’re facing, and what comes next.
The path is a process.
I’m not allowing these players to miss the steps that I did.
