WE’RE HIRING AT RED ALLEN DIESEL

We’re looking for the right person to add to our crew.

This is kind of an unusual position because we need somebody who can do a little bit of everything. You do not need to be a diesel mechanic.

A big part of the job will be helping with our growing used truck sales — getting inventory ready, helping with listings and inquiries, showing trucks and eventually being able to handle more of the sales process on your own.

But this is definitely not just a sales job.

You’ll also help wherever needed around the business — answering phones, running parts, moving and cleaning vehicles, handling minor repairs, keeping the shop and property cleaned up, and taking care of the everyday things that need to get done.

Nobody here is above any job.

What we really need is somebody who is dependable, has some common sense, works well without being babysat and can look around, see something that needs to be done and handle it.

Automotive experience is a plus, but it is not required. Being mechanically inclined, comfortable talking to people and willing to learn is more important.

This position also has room to grow. The right person could eventually take on more responsibility with truck sales, customers, phones and possibly service writing.

Pay starts at $15/hr + sales bonuses, with room to grow based on responsibility and performance.

Normal hours are Tuesday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM, closed 12–1 for lunch.

Because of the truck sales side, you will also need to be reasonably available on occasion to meet a serious buyer after hours or on a weekend. This will not be an everyday thing, but we need somebody who can help us make a sale when the opportunity comes up.

We are a small family-run shop. We joke around, give each other a hard time and occasionally argue. 😂 If you’ve ever watched the old Orange County Choppers, we’re probably closer to that than a corporate dealership environment. We need somebody who can fit into that kind of crew while still being professional with customers.

Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
