Why Feet?
We read it so gently…
like it was clean
like it was symbolic
like it was… nice
But feet back then
were filthy
Not just a little dusty
Filthy
They walked everywhere
through dirt roads
animal waste
heat
sweat
open sandals
No pavement
no shoes like ours
Just skin
meeting the ground
all day long
Feet were the dirtiest part of a person
That’s why
when you entered a home
there was usually a servant
The lowest servant
The one no one else wanted to be
Their job
was to kneel
and wash it off
To touch what everyone avoided
To clean what everyone else
stepped over
So when no one moved
when the room stayed quiet
and no one reached for the towel
that meant something
It meant
no one was willing
to be lowest
And then
Jesus
The One who deserved
the highest place
knelt
He didn’t just wash feet
He touched the dirtiest part
of them
The part covered in everything
they had walked through
And He didn’t flinch
He didn’t hesitate
He didn’t skip anyone
Not even the one
who would betray Him
Because this wasn’t about cleanliness
It was about love
The kind of love
that gets close
The kind of love
that touches what’s messy
The kind of love
that doesn’t stand at a distance
waiting for you to clean yourself up
Jesus went straight
to the dirtiest place
and washed it
And if He did that
with their feet
Imagine what He’ll do
with your heart 🫶🏽

Have a blessed Palm Sunday. 🙌🏼
Here's a few more videos of what's in store tomorrow.
Please come out to the Farmers Market at Tractor Supply tomorrow and support the Blessing Box CommonGround! We NEED your support. We have baskets for men women and children of all ages and decor. 😉 Ya'll please like and share!!!!
We will be making Easter baskets and selling them at the TSC Farmers Market on Saturday, March the 21st. 🧑🌾
We will make Easter Baskets, AMAZING EASTER BASKETS🐣 🧺, as we do every year for our Annual Easter Online Auction on FB also. Along with baskets, we make wreaths, door hangers, floral arrangements, yard signs, table decor, and homemade jelly, jam, and pickles, and cakes, etc. All of the proceeds for both events will go to buy food for our local Blessing Box located at the Monroe County Government Complex. Please join us. If you’d like to help in any way, especially if you are good at baking or crafting…just give us a call or message us on FB. We are just winging it.
We feel God is telling us to continue this mission…HIS mission. We will continue to be the hands and feet of Jesus by supplying food for this box and those less fortunate. It is hard work and it is time consuming and sometimes we want to quit…. 🤷♀️ But God.
As we are in our 10th year, we are committed to this as long as HE sees fit. So if anyone wants to help in anyway by loading the box, buying food, dropping it off, helping make crafts for the auction and Farmers Show, baking goods for the show, anything you can think of, Just ask us.
We appreciate the amazing ladies that help stock\load the box in the mornings, those that drop food off when they have it and those that go to the store and buy extra and load it. We also appreciate those that send monetary donations so we are able to buy stock. As you all know food is not cheap these days. Just a little goes a long way.💰
So be sure and follow our updates and may God bless you all. 💙☺️

A little boy once asked:
“Grandpa, what is evil afraid of?”
Grandpa smiled.
“That’s a great question,” he said.
“Evil is afraid of the truth — because the truth takes away its power.
It’s afraid of love — because love is a shield it can’t break through.
And it’s afraid of hope — because hope helps people stand up again, even after they fall hard.
But do you know what scares it the most?”
The boy shook his head.
“Unity,” Grandpa continued. “Evil feeds on division. It loves when people fight, judge, and turn against each other. But when people stand together and look out for one another, evil has no place to go.”
The boy thought for a moment.
“So if people stick together and help each other… evil disappears? Is it really that simple?”
Grandpa nodded gently.
“Yes,” he said. “Simple — and somehow the hardest thing for people to remember.”
