What happens when STEM education meets adventure? ✈️💨

Our Upward Bound students visited iFLY, where they learned about careers in science, technology, engineering, and math—and then got to experience the excitement of indoor skydiving for themselves!

Talk about learning that takes off! 🚀

Congratulations to our Lady Dolphins Softball team for earning multiple NFCA, NJCAA, and Region XIV Academic All-American honors during the 2026 season!🥎

The players named to the NFCA team include: Isabelle Doggett, Sophie Brammer, Alexxis Moreno, Elana Luna, Haley Garcia, Katelynn Torres, Allison Ramos, Alyssa Acosta and Bailey Glaesmann. Brammer, Doggett, and Moreno also received the honor in 2025.

The students had to maintain a 3.5 GPA to be named to the Academic All-American Team for NFCA. To be named to the NJCAA All Academic team, students must maintain a 3.6 or higher while the Region XIV requires a 3.25 GPA or higher.

The team is coming off an excellent 2026 season where they posted a 29-24 record and a 15-9 record against conference opponents. They also advanced deep into the NJCAA Region XIV playoffs.

Congratulations to Alvin College Business Management students Sofia Incalcaterra and Bessica Hinton for earning top honors in a recent campus pitch competition hosted by the Sanders Hand Young Billionaires Club and the National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship.🌟

Sofia received First Runner-Up and $1,500 to support her startup idea, while Bessica earned Second Runner-Up and $1,000 in funding.

Both students are one step closer to bringing their innovative business ideas to life and we are excited to see where it leads them!
