So when you’re building your chopper or just putting your bike back together. Never forget to make sure those pinch bolts are tight and your axel won’t be going anywhere. Throw a little red loctite on there if you’re still worried. It’ll be future you’s problem 🤣

Building and teaching.

Whoever takes this bike home from Born-Free Motorcycle Show is gonna have a hell of a ride.
I have bui1t_by_brooke around the shop now too, so we gotta teach her about this old stuff.

You don’t need a packed toll box to build a bike.

All you really need is some simple tools and some grit. Yes if you want to chop it then it gets into some complicated tool territory. But if you’re just replacing parts, bending things, removing things. It’s almost all hand tools and muscle.

Don’t overcomplicate it. Go build a bike.

Are they that expensive? Not really, but why waste the money and the time waiting for them to come in when you can make a mount yourself in about 15 minutes with scrap steel.

You do it once and realize how easy it is, you’ll never order one again.

Why is the curb hopper stance one of the iconic for choppers?

The club bikers started doing it to make it easier to hop a curb and escape the cops. Like most things, if enough guys start doing it. Then it gots popular with the mainstream style, pretty soon you saw all kinds of bikers going with the curb jumper stance. For me it’s my favorite style, I like when my bikes rake looks like it’s about to pop a wheelie.

Stop wasting money and make your own fender mounts. It’s one of the easiest things you can fabricate.

If it’s a little off a little not big deal. It’s just holding on the fender, not holding the bike together. If you hate it just restart. There’s a difference and people get way too in their head about stuff like this. Get it close, get it solid, move on. I’ll come back and final weld everything once it’s all where I want it. If you get ahead of yourself and weld it all in place now you might be having extra trouble down the line if you need it moved.
