It is not a public forum. All postings are not public records under the Local Records Act, 50 ILCS 205 The Alton Amphitheater is more than a venue – it’s a vibrant gathering place for stage performances, festivals and events, and the region’s best spot for summer sunsets. Unlike any other stage-destination nearby, we offer standout experiences with the convenience of a small town. Set on a wide-op

Calling all local bands and musicians...

The Alton Amphitheater sits right on one of the most beautiful riverfronts in the region, and we know many in the community have asked for more opportunities for local talent to take the stage. We’ve heard that feedback — and we want to continue building something that reflects the incredible music scene we have right here at home. So let's see what we can do!

If your band is interested in performing at the Alton Amphitheater, please click the link below and submit your information for consideration.

Be sure to check out the Alton Farmers' & Artisans' Market, organized by Alton Main Street, starting this Saturday!

THIS SATURDAY is opening day of our Alton Farmers' & Artisans' Market! Check out our vendor map to guide your trip; you can also pick up a hard copy at the info booth. IDOT has agreed to increase the amount of time of the traffic light in order to allow more cars to pass through per cycle! They indicated that this will be most effective if everyone uses the EXIT that is marked on the map instead of trying to pull out closer to the railroad tracks. Thanks for your cooperation :)

Hey Alton! Did you hear?

We’ve been busy, and it’s time to fill you in on what’s going on.

Did you know the amphitheater is run by the City of Alton and guided by a 7-person Volunteer Commission? Since December, we’ve added three new members to strengthen our team as we work to make the amphitheater an active and vibrant gathering place for residents and visitors.

We’re excited to announce Contemporary Productions as our new events and production partner for 2026. They’ll help us run this year’s mainstay events: Fireworks on the Mississippi, Food Truck Festival and Jazz & Wine Festival. While these events remain familiar favorites, our Commission will introduce thoughtful enhancements and new partnerships this season as part of a measured approach to future innovation and growth. We'll keep you in the loop as we pace expansion strategically to position the Amphitheater for long-term success and more consistent riverfront activity in the years ahead.

You are at the center! We’re committed to transparency and to making sure your voice is part of what comes next. Have thoughts? We’d love to hear them at [email protected].

And for all our regional friends in Illinois and Missouri:
We can’t wait to welcome you this season! Our outdoor amphitheater sits right on the riverfront, with a wide-open lawn and historic streets filled with cozy shops and unique restaurants just steps away.

Want to get involved?
• Community: Share our updates and email us with feedback.
• Sponsors: Partner with us to connect your brand with the community and help pioneer what's next — [email protected]

Keep following us for the 2026 events schedule and all the updates!
