Chess Night is back! Players of all ages and skill level are welcome. We will have chess sets available for you to discover new chess moves and make new friends.

The Reading Court is located outside of the library building, so chess night will be hosted so long as weather is permitting.

Join County of Los Angeles Department of Parks & Recreation for the groundbreaking of Charles White Park on Saturday, 10/3, at 10am. Due to limited parking around the park, LA County Parks will provide shuttle service for attendees who need to park a distance from the event (see shuttle route map).

In-N-Out Burger invites children ages 4 to 12 to read five books or for 300 minutes – Oct. 3-Nov. 14. Sign up at the Bob Lucas Memorial Branch or at our Loma Alta Park library! For each five books read, participants will receive a certificate for a free hamburger or cheeseburger! Limit of three certificates per child, while supplies last.
