The basics of Intuitive Movement Jam

- Creativity in motion: Let the music inspire creative movement, without worrying about how it looks. Try something new.

- Simple can be good: It doesn't need to be ornate, shifting your weight from one foot to the other is enough.

- Be here now, stick with it: Keep your attention on the sound, experience and sensations of the present moment…starting with your breath.

- Surf the "waves": There are 2 "waves" of music that start slow, speed up, and then slow down again. Stick with it.

5 Important guidelines

- Exercise generosity and help us cultivate a positive, welcoming, non-judgmental environment

- Welcome and celebrate diversity of all kinds: in people, and in your creativity. Play a part in welcoming everyone here.


- Respect, in every interaction: Pay attention and respect people's wishes and personal space. You can invite interaction, just don't demand it.

- Communicate: there are times when people want their own space. We all appreciate and welcome this! If non-verbal communication is not clear enough, use your voice to express "I need more space"

- Safety: Treat yourself and others around you with care


We ask there is:

- No talking on the dance floor
(voicing needs about personal space and safety are excepted)

- No photos or video

- No mobile phone use.
