These pieces caught my eye for being on trend with art as fashion. Sabrina Carpenter's referenced Erte, Kendall Jenner, a Grecian Goddess, and the others certainly involved hours of artistry

Stevie Nicks showed up in a custom Galliano. It was SO Stevie Nicks!! And she barely blipped the plopperazzi.

Met gala men, 2026.
Dwayne Johnson took some fashion risks with Thom Browne's cropped tail jacket, kilt, cropped pant, and combat boots. But that watch was BLINGING!
Coleman Domingo was colorful, but not bringing elaborate met gala level fashion. Bad Bunny showed up with white hair and beard and was ignored by most.

MET GALA 2026
The Devil Wore Prada contingent was there. The Tucci/Blunts looked cocktail party ready. Anne Hathaway's dress was indeed a work of art. I can't imagine the couture level of work that went into it!

Hailey Beiber looked stunning in this royal blue chiffon with a 24-karat gold corset. Like a Grecian goddess.

Kylie Jenner in Schapiarelli. It is art and sculpture. This dress has over 10,000 pearls sewn onto it and took hundreds of hours to craft.

Naomi Watts in Dior. I see the homage to Frida Khalo - even if the prattling fools/ hosts on E are clueless. I like this, and the dress architecture.

The theme is costume/fashion as art. Last year was "the Dandy". This seems to be more on point for last year. At least he looks good.
