Logo design for Glasses & Grapes! 🍷 🫒

Glasses & Grapes wanted to update their logo to be more reflective of the products they carry. As a store that specializes in wine, oils and giftware, they wanted a logo that was sophisticated, friendly, and tasteful.

An additional challenge to this brand was to create a logo that could be used from very small applications to large applications, with or without a tagline, and in colour or black and white.

The result is a responsive logo that fits the needs of any type of medium. I designed an icon that ties together wine, food, and giftware with a classy, yet organic and approachable feel. The tagline can be easily removed or added, depending on the application.

I painted 🎨these palms while on a vacation in a cottage 🏠 on the lake 🛶 tucked away in northern Ontario. On a September afternoon I sat in the sunroom facing the lake, and practiced painting palms. It was such a peaceful, calming moment, and I'm grateful that I'm able to share this art and that moment with you, and I hope that you can use it in your branding. 💕

Space is an inspirational concept that allows you to dream big.

This is a piece of art from day 4 of a mARTch challenge. The concept was Space.

I was out for a walk the other day and saw this beautiful scene of the Canadian geese flying toward to moon as the sun set. It was so nice that instead of reaching for my phone to snap a pic, I decided to just take it in.

But.. it was stuck in my head, and I just needed to share the beauty another way! So here’s a little art using watercolour paint and ink.

What are you saying Yes to today?

✨ I’m saying yes to embracing the raw, imperfect nature of creating. I’m sharing some art that is unpolished, unrefined and very imperfect.

I realized that I could let it sit buried in the files on my computer for a few more weeks, months or years, until I decided to dedicate time to perfecting it, or I could just post the darn thing! 🎨

I hope that one day I’ll look back on it, and feel that I’ve grown as an artist, but for now, I just need to accept and embrace the uneven lines that were drawn with the spark of creativity and joy.

A full year has almost passed, how do you feel about it? Do you take time to reflect on your year, and what your plans and dreams are for the next year? 💭 ✨

I’ve been doing this yearly ritual for a while, and sometimes it’s amazing to see how far I’ve come and sometimes the same goals carry over year to year.. but I’ll continue on with a fresh perspective and the belief that anything is possible, and I hope you do too. ✌️
