Running With Pearls On

1st walk in over 5 months. It was short, but very satisfying.

Hit another record today. Got 4 miles... yeah you heard me... 4 miles in the books. Want some? Get some!! Now I'm going to find my epsom salt and sit down somewhere... LOL

Testimony Time... long, but worth the read.
Long story short... I broke my foot in half last March and I was told I would never run again. In fact the words my doctor used were "we are going to TRY to save your foot". WHAT!! 😳😳!! I've run ALL👏🏾MY👏🏾LIFE! How was this happening. 🤦🏾‍♀️
I had a major fusion surgery last August and they saved my foot. I didn't for walk... for almost a year. I was in therapy for 4 1/2 months just to learn how to walk again. I had many, many lows, but you know what... I can walk! To God be the glory! I can walk up the stairs and put my kids to bed. I CAN WALK and I WILL RUN AGAIN! Jeremiah 30:17
Fast forward... my hubby and I walked a 5K distance last week. DID YOU HEAR ME?!? WE DID A 5K Y'ALL!!!! I've been walking for about 2 months now and I've been slowly building it up. With God and my hubby's encouragement... I walked that 5K AND had negative splits... 😁😁!! I'm in this thang and I'm putting in the work.

My heart is full and incredibly thank to be able to walk this Valentine's Day. I have faith next year I'll be able to run in somebody's Hot Chocolate race. Happy Valentine's Day to all of my running buddies out there.

Yep... I'll always be a Runner. These made me laugh because they are soooo true. 😆😆

You have to start somewhere... keep moving forward.

Hey y'all... I saw my orthopedic doc (Dr. Desai) and I got the #1 news I have been waiting 4 months to hear. "YOU 👏🏾 CAN 👏🏾 START 👏🏾 THERAPY 👏🏾"!!!! That was just the 1st part of the amazing trifecta that went down. Next was... #2... buy some new HOKAones and wear a metal plate... for stability. (I heard... you get to go new running shoe shopping 😁) and #3... wear this corset looking ankle brace. (I heard... you are out of that stupid boot girlfriend).
Y'all God is sooooo good! I get to "WALK" into this new year. You hear me??? I get to WALK AND buy shoes!!!! I'm incredibly thankful. My God can move mountains and restore my health! 2021... here I come... you better get ready for me!

Just left my surgeon's office. Everything is healing well. I can start slowly walking in my boot and stretching my ankle. Another follow up in a month and then full blown therapy in January. Jeremiah 30:17
