This is a uniquely handcrafted cedar wood gate, constructed in the southwest style, utilizing traditional wood jointing techniques such as half lap joints, tongue and groove, and wooden dowels, in lieu of screws and nails. The gate features an intentionally antiqued finish, inspired by the beautiful southwest style home in which it is installed. Notably, the arch-shaped piece at the top was crafted from a tree that was harvested, cured, and milled on-site, while the spindles were hand-carved from the same cedar tree as the arch. We are extremely excited to see this project come to life and look forward t o undertaking similar endeavors in the future. While woodworking does require a significant amount of time, it is also highly rewarding!

We really enjoyed collaborating with Amy and Susan on this extraordinary custom bathroom this year. It is a very warm, comfortable, and cozy bathroom that features a hand-aged barn door, a free-standing vanity and bathtub, as well as a rain shower head, a horse and mountain scene all cut out of tile in the shower, a small horse tie ring to assist in bathing pets, LED mood lighting, and an ebony wood plank tile floor. Oh and it’s kinda hard to tell but all that grout is full of sparkly glitter!

We had the privilege of designing and building an extraordinary custom bathroom this year! This unique space is truly one-of-a-kind. The cavernous bathroom boasts a shower waterfall, stone bench, and an impressive collection of fossils, gems, and minerals gathered by the homeowner during global travels. Additional features include radiant floor heating, dimmable lighting, a beautifully tiled linear drain, polished translucent onyx panes allowing for light transfer between the shower and toilet, and an abundance of other natural stone. And did you see that Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton crafted from whale bones!?
