NMGRA - New Mexico Gay Rodeo Association

NMGRA’s Rodeo Rewind Thursday

Today, we're throwing it back to when our very own Opa Leez, the first-ever MX New Mexico Gay Rodeo, was sashed as MX International Gay Rodeo 2026 2nd Runner-Up!

We couldn't be prouder of Opa and the incredible way they have represented New Mexico on the international stage! Their dedication, passion, and commitment to the gay rodeo community have been nothing short of amazing, and we are honored to have them as part of the NMGRA family!

As NMGRA heads to IGRA World Finals later this month, we invite everyone to join us as we celebrate Opa and the entire IGRA Royalty Team, recognizing their hard work, accomplishments, and dedication throughout their reign!

Let's show our New Mexico royalty some love as we come together to celebrate another incredible year of gay rodeo!

Around the Community Wednesdays!

The New Mexico Gay Rodeo Association (NMGRA) is excited to share an upcoming event from the Imperial Sovereign Court of New Mexico (ISCNM)!

Join them on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 3 PM to 6 PM at Sidewinders Bar & Grill for The White Lotus: A White Party, celebrating Reign # # Investitures!

Come meet members of the Reign # # Royal Family, including Absolute Imperial Emperor # # Cairo Jones Steel, and learn how you can get involved with the Imperial Court.

All funds raised will benefit their Holiday Drive, helping support the community during the holiday season.

Let's come together and show our support for another great New Mexico community organization!

Happy World Teachers’ Day from NMGRA!

Whether it’s at rodeo school or in the classroom, teachers play an important role in educating, inspiring, and helping people of all ages learn new skills and grow!

The New Mexico Gay Rodeo Association (NMGRA) would like to thank all the teachers, instructors, and mentors who dedicate their time to sharing their knowledge, encouraging others, and making a difference in our communities.

Learning has no age limit, and neither does the impact of a great teacher!

The New Mexico Gay Rodeo Association (NMGRA) is excited for the North Star Gay Rodeo Association (NSGRA) as they welcome their newly elected 2027 Board of Directors!

Congratulations to the new board! We're especially excited to hear that the North Star Regional Rodeo will return in 2027. We can't wait to see all the amazing things ahead for NSGRA!

NMGRA’s Rodeo Rewind Thursday

Today, we're throwing it back to 2024, when our very own Mr. New Mexico Gay Rodeo 2025 and Mr. International Gay Rodeo 2026 1st Runner-Up, Ryder Gently, competed for the title of Mr. New Mexico Gay Rodeo!

From stepping onto the stage as a candidate to representing New Mexico on the international stage, Ryder's journey is a wonderful reminder of where it all began and how far dedication, passion, and love for the gay rodeo community can take you!

We're proud to have Ryder as part of the NMGRA family and all he has accomplished!

Make sure to join us later this month at IGRA World Finals as Ryder steps down from his international title and we come together to celebrate and honor the incredible work he and the entire IGRA Royalty Team have accomplished throughout their reign!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

The New Mexico Gay Rodeo Association (NMGRA) stands in support of those currently battling breast cancer, celebrates the strength of survivors, and honors the memory of those we have lost.

Breast cancer can affect anyone, regardless of gender. Early detection through recommended screenings and awareness of changes in your body can make a difference.

This October, we encourage everyone to take charge of their health, support those affected, and help spread awareness. Together, we can make a difference!

Happy International Coffee Day from the New Mexico Gay Rodeo Association (NMGRA)!

Whether you like it hot, iced, black, or loaded with cream and sugar, there's nothing like a good cup of coffee to get your day started!

Now we want to hear from you! What's your favorite coffee, and how do you like it? Are you a simple black coffee drinker, or do you love a fancy latte?

Let us know in the comments!

Mark your calendars! If you're in the Denver Metro area, come out on Saturday, November 7th, at 2:00 PM at Charlie's Denver and support our Mr. New Mexico Gay Rodeo candidate, Andrew Gayheart, at the annual Chili & Soup Cook Off!

Enjoy delicious chili and soup, great company, and an afternoon of fun while supporting a wonderful cause benefiting CASA Q!

The entry fee is $25, and you can register online at charliesdenver.com.

Let's show Andrew some New Mexico love and support!

Congratulations to our Mr. New Mexico Gay Rodeo candidate, Andrew Gayhart, on a successful Jell-O shot fundraiser this past weekend!

A huge thank you to Charlie’s Nightclub Denver for hosting the fundraiser and to everyone who came out to support Andrew. Your generosity helped him reach his fundraising goal for NMGRA!

Whether it's in-state or out-of-state, we are truly grateful for the continued love and support shown to our royalty candidates and the New Mexico Gay Rodeo Association.

It's communities like yours that help keep the spirit of gay rodeo alive!
