Why Owner Finance?

As a kid growing up was not always easy. My parents split up while I was 11 and that left us renting for most of our lives. I developed a belief that owning a home was for other people but that I would never be able to do it. Then in 2001, we bought our first home. It was magical. What I thought was impossible became a reality.

Fast forward. Some difficult financial times led to losing a home in 2008. I didn’t think I would ever come back from that. My credit was shot again and I didn’t know if owning a home was possible again.

Well my friends, not only is it possible, but I discovered creative financing. The next two houses I bought were the result of creative owner financing deals I learned how to structure. I helped the sellers get what they wanted while getting what we wanted. Since that time, I’ve helped multiple families obtain homes without the banks. I know it sounds impossible, but it is possible.

I borrow the line from the old “Hair Club for Men” commercial. “I’m not just the President of the company, I’m a member!” I’ve come back from credit ruin three times in my adult life. The first one was completely my fault. I was young and dumb. The next two times were external events that created financial burdens and did a lot of damage to our credit.
