HIV Prevention & S*xual Health for Native Women
Self-Determination
I am blessed with the opportunity to share space with Native womxn from the community. The womxn who have attended NA SISTER are survivors of historical trauma and many are fighting hard to be there for their families, despite trauma wounds.
Today, another sister told me that a veteran of NA SISTER passed and my heart hurts. This Diné womxn was strong and loved her family so much. She would sit back and listen most of the time, but when she had something to say, it was memorable.
I will miss her calm and powered nature.
I will miss her thick rez accent.
I will miss seeing her around the community.
INSPIRE HIV Prevention and myself honor she and her legacy.
She receives 1,000 war cries, love forever....and a certificate of completion with a $100 gift card to Walmart.
The holy ones are happy today.
