IT’S CALLED TEAMWORK – A prior customer came in, only to find that his usual representative was away. Just like family, another sales professional stepped up. The project involved getting a ’69 Dodge Dart up to speed to give to the customer’s son. With the same sense of family and attention to detail, we put together a great system consisting of Kicker LX amps, AudioControl speakers and a Sony radio in an under-dash kit. Our skilled install tech did a great job on the kick panel and back-package-tray speakers. We had this Dart pounding with a pair of Kicker CompQ 10 subwoofers! Stinger sound-deadener keeps the rattles at bay for a clean sound. No matter when you come into Audio Express, you can be sure our family will take care of your family.

ROCKIN’ THE DUNES – The owner of a Polaris Pro RZR came in with a factory-stock sound system. This is his second RZR, and the owner called the current system “very underwhelming,” complaining that it distorted when turned up. He asked about adding additional speakers and an amp to bring up the total volume and clarity. Because we work on a lot of similar toys, knew exactly what to add to really bring this Polaris to life. We installed the AudioControl ACX300.4 UTV amplifier to deliver clean power and linked it to two pairs of Kicker 45KM654L marine speakers. We installed one pair in a door pod that was made by SSV Works and installed the second pair in 6.5-inch cage pods that mount to the roll bar. Upon completion our customer said this is exactly what he was looking for. He left excited to hit the trails and let everyone hear what a RZR should sound like. Whether your travels take you off-road, on the water, or just down the highway, Audio Express has everything to make the trip more enjoyable.

At Audio Express on Coors Blvd., we welcomed back a customer who came in with his car audio equipment he had purchased from us previously, wanting us to hook it up in his new Chevy Equinox. The vehicle owner had a Kicker 46CXA1200.1 mono amplifier and the Kicker 43DCWR122 Dual Comp R box. This quality product is built to deliver awesome bass, so we needed to be sure it could do its job. His stock stereo has a lot of good features, so he wanted to keep that in the dash. We installed an Audio Control LC2i line-out converter to take the output from his factory deck and clean the signal so he gets the most from the amplifier and subwoofers. With AccuBass and subwoofer control, it allows for fine tuning the bass. Following the customer’s recommendation, we placed the amp under the front passenger seat so he could maximize the space in the back. When he heard the sound coming from his product, the customer was very happy with the install. The Kicker Car Audio installation was done by the professionals at Audio Express 9231 Coors Blvd NW Suite R-1 Albuquerque, NM 87114 505-899-3584. A customer came in looking to upgrade his factory car stereo in his 1992 Ford F-150. We looked at options for a single DIN replacement with Bluetooth but the gentleman wanted to make sure he could add on a backup camera at a later time. Upon inspection of the installation parts, we found that Metra now makes a DDIN conversion dash kit. No one in the company has ordered one yet, so we were very lucky and excited about getting one in to do. Our Lead tech had just watched a video on this new dash kit and was eager to get his hands on it. The customer was not interested in all of the bells and whistles with this unit. His priority was Bluetooth and a backup camera later on. We chose the very affordable Kenwood DMX125BT Touch screen radio and special ordered the new 95-5701 Metra kit to do the conversion. We had to cut the dash open to drop the climate controls and open up the space for the DDIN. We took pictures along the way and the customer was impressed by the outcome. The Kenwood car stereo installation was done by the professionals at Audio Express 9231 Coors Blvd NW Suite R-1 Albuquerque, NM 87114 505-899-3584. A customer brought in a 2014 Dodge Challenger looking to tie in a backup camera in his factory stereo. While we did have the option of integrating into the factory screen, the customer was looking for a less expensive solution. The dealership offered a backup cam solution for around $1,500. We had a factory integration system for about $600 but the customer opted to go with our in-stock items. He ended up picking the Echo Master MM4320 Mirror Display and the matching Echo Master PCAMDPL Backup Camera system. The installation came out very nice since there were at least 3 great location options for the camera. The mirror fit right on the factory mount for easy installation. The customer was pleased with how clean the install came out and that the camera lines were optional. The backup camera installation was done by the professionals at Audio Express 9231 Coors Blvd NW Suite R-1 Albuquerque, NM 87114 505-899-3584. A customer came in with a 2004 Harley Davidson Road King and had a challenge for us. He does not have a fairing and does not want to get one in the future. He was looking to get a car audio system setup but having no fairing in front posed a problem because that is normally where a stereo would go. We went over a few options but installing car speakers was another problem because the customer did not want anything in the front. So, when we went over speaker options that mount to the handlebars he was not interested in that set-up. We kicked around ideas of installing into the saddlebags but he did not want to take up too much space in the side bags because of his need for more cargo space. We then pitched the idea of installing the stereo, amp and speakers into the rear saddle. He liked the recommendation and once we narrowed down what he was looking for, he started making suggestions as to how he wanted us to do this custom job. We decided on a JVC KDT-915BTS Bluetooth Receiver for the stereo, an Alpine KTP-445U 4 channel amplifier, and a pair of Alpine SS40 4” car speakers to be custom fitted into the rear saddlebag. This custom job took a few days for building and carpeting a box to house the amp and stereo. We cut holes into the saddlebag for the speakers because this is one unit that holds all components. The customer was very patient and left it with us to be completed whenever we could. We ended up hooking up power with some quick disconnects so he could remove the box if he needed and still have an option to do a couple more speakers if he decides at a later time. The install came out clean and the customer was very happy. The car speaker installation was done by the professionals at Audio Express 9231 Coors Blvd NW Suite R-1 Albuquerque, NM 87114 505-899-3584. A returning customer came in with her sub box with 2 12” Kenwood Excelon KFCXW120’s and a X6001 amp that she had in her previous vehicle. She purchased a 2013 Kia Optima and wanted us to install her Kenwood car audio product in her newly bought car. We did an assessment on what she had and what we might need for the install. The customer had all of the product removed by us from her older vehicle so we had the amp kit and RCA’s and everything else besides a converter for her factory stereo. She had an aftermarket stereo in her last vehicle and this time she would be using the factory stereo. We went with the Audio Control LC2I for the best performance and better control for tuning using the factory set up. The customer didn’t have any special requests, so we just went with the standard install. She was very happy with how it turned out and that she was still able to access the trunk by taking the rear seat down. She will be back to talk about alarm remote start options in the future. The Kenwood car audio install was done by the professionals at Audio Express 9231 Coors Blvd NW Suite R-1 Albuquerque, NM 87114 505-899-3584. Come check us out for all your car audio needs.

A customer came in looking to upgrade his car audio system with a bass package in his 2016 Honda Accord. He came in before to look at a few options. He knew enough about car audio that he immediately wanted to see what JL Audio selections we had available. We listened to the 600W HO112W6V3 and he liked that option but wanted something a little more cost effective. When he came back in for the install, we listened to a few other options like the 2 10” Kicker Comp R box and a Kenwood sub package but the customer ultimately settled on the JL Audio CP210W0V3 Loaded Subwoofer Enclosure with the 600W JL Audio XD600/1V2 mono amplifier and an LC2I to connect into his factory head unit. This customer was very particular about the way he wanted his system set up. He wanted a clean looking install with minimal wires showing and he wanted the subs to face inward because he said he is going to keep the seats down most of the time. When the install was complete the customer was exceedingly impressed with the way it came out. He has two other vehicles he is looking to outfit soon. The JL Audio installation was done by the professionals at Audio Express 9231 Coors Blvd NW Suite R-1 Albuquerque, NM 87114 505-899-3584. Your local JL Audio dealer.

We had the privilege of working on an all-new 2020 Chevy Silverado. A customer had a 2014 Silverado with a subwoofer system we installed for him previously. He removed his sound system and wanted us to install it into his “brand new baby.” He brought us his Kicker 43CXA3001 300 watt mono amplifier, an LC2I two-channel processor, a JL Audio CS110TG-TW3 Loaded Subwoofer Enclosure, and all of the amp wiring from the previous install. We were able to find a great location for everything and the install came out super clean. The customer had some input on where he wanted the amp located because he thought it would be more aesthetically pleasing. When we prepped everything, we found that there was enough room for the seats to still come down all the way, the LC2I fit nicely in between, and the sub was accessible enough if he wanted to remove it for storage purposes. After we were all done the customer was very happy with the outcome and said he would like to come back to get a bigger amp to push that sub a little more. The sound system reinstallation was done by the professionals at Audio Express 9231 Coors Blvd NW Suite R-1 Albuquerque, NM 87114 505-899-3584. A customer came in after purchasing a 2018 Chevy Suburban. She had traded in her old vehicle for this one and wanted to get similar features for a rear entertainment system. At first, she was set on two drop down DVD players for the second and third rows. Upon inspection, we found that there was a sunroof, climate controls and a contoured headliner which made it more difficult to install the dropdowns. We then discussed the Concept BSD905 headrest monitors with DVD players included and went over the features available with these units in this vehicle. The customer was impressed with how we could utilize the FM transmitters in the headrests to broadcast the signal through the factory stereo and how the units could work independently from each other. She was also happy that we could link the two rows together so her older kids could watch something together in the back and the younger kids could watch something together up front. Overall the customer was very pleased when it was all said and done and mentioned that we beat the dealership offer by over $1000 with only two headrest DVD players. The headrest monitors was installed by the professionals at Audio Express 9231 Coors Blvd NW Suite R-1 Albuquerque, NM 87114 505-899-3584. We can recommend and install a rear entertainment system to fit your vehicle and budget.
