Hey everyone. We have a rare opportunity coming up in the next few weeks for someone who loves animals and is extremely reliable and trustworthy. Unfortunately we are losing one of our best employees who's been with us for years. She's moving up north and it's too much of a commute. So we will have a job opening coming up soon. Starting wage will be minimum wage, and we will re-evaluate after a 6-month probationary period.

We are looking for someone that can care for the multiple species of animals in the shop, run a register, and even do some restocking when needed. Anyone interested in a bunch of adult Mourning Geckos and tons of fertile eggs? We have a 29 gallon aquarium chocked full of Mourning Geckos, estimated to have around 30+ adults and probably twice as many eggs/babies in there. The enclosure needs to be cleaned and babies/eggs need to be taken out. We were given this entire enclosure and geckos but we just don't have the time to spend on it. So we will rehome the entire thing for an incredible price! Must come in for details because we cannot put prices on animals on FB.

Ever wonder what those cheap UVB bulbs on amazon actually do? These are advertised as UVA and UVB bulbs so I wanted to see what the output was. The bulb I tested was brand new out of the box and powered on for 15 minutes before the test. As you can see at about a foot away from the bulb it's only reading 2 units, where a true UVB bulb, like a Solar Glo bulb, will read between 100 and 120 units when new. So technically it puts out UVB but as far as being beneficial to your animal, it has zero effect.

Our hognose eggs decided to start hatching on Mother's Day! This is our very first Hognose that we hatched out. Super exciting!
