Today we reflect on the critical support that the early childhood education system provides to our economy. If there were no childcare, families couldn't work to provide for their children. Our early educators are highly trained instructors- at Periwinkle alone we have 2 master's degrees, 6 bachelor's degrees, and 2 associate's degrees on our staff. We care for 55 children (and are about to expand that by 20 more in the fall!), allowing student-parents to have a safe, loving, and educational place for their children to be while they take classes or work. Please support universal childcare, because all children deserve to receive an early education.

This past weekend our team had a great time learning new things at the Early Learning Conference in Bend! We also had the chance to hang out as a team- which gave us some much-needed bonding/chill time. There were s'mores over a fire pit, friendship bracelet making, midnight ziplining, a variety of games played, and great dinner conversation with some totally awesome educators. Oh, and we learned stuff, too! :)

We are in the process of hiring for next fall! We will be opening up our final preschool room (that makes 4!) in September, and we are looking for fun, energetic, compassionate, and experienced teachers to fill our classroom! Go the link below to apply for an Associate position:

During the Week of the Young Child (April 13-17), we are participating in days like "Taste Test Tuesday". Today, we tasted sweet, sour, and bitter- so the kids got to taste oranges, lemons, grapefruit, and bitter chocolate (oh, gosh... the chocolate was SO bad, guys!).
