Just opened up my calendar for a limited amount of spots for the Private Intro to Handgun: Safety & Fundamentals Class.

This private 1-on-1 class goes over topics like firearm safety, how a gun works, how ammunition works, how to operate a semi-auto handgun, shooting fundamentals (I.e. How to shoot accurately)...
Handgun to use and ammunition is provided. If you do own your own, you're welcome to bring it so you can learn & train with it..

The Private Intro to Gun Safety & Pistol Course is fully booked for June & July.. Next available appointments are in August ...

This private class is geared towards beginners, new gun owners & those interested in owning their first firearm. The focus is on safety as the number one priority, marksmanship fundamentals, and responsible gun ownership.

The course takes place over 2 sessions - classroom and range. Handguns for use and ammunition is provided. If you own your own handgun, you're welcome to bring it. The class is completely private and by appointment only.

Personal handgun coaching session with a new client. 

This client has been a gun owner and shooting for years, and said they had a tendency to shoot low and left, or just left. 

After first assessing his existing fundamentals and diagnosing the accuracy issues, the work began. This included changing his grip technique, working on trigger control, utilizing both dry fire and live fire, and explaining the concepts behind the techniques. 

By the end of the session, his groups were more consistent, centered and even had some touching shots. When a shot strayed from the group, he was also able to self diagnose and identify the possible causes. 

He expressed surprise at how well he was shooting, but I wasn’t surprised, he was putting in the work to execute the fundamentals and what he was learning. 

Naturally there may be a tendency to revert to old habits,  and learning something new will take conscious effort, focus, repetition and consistency. This client now has new tools going forward to practice and train the fundamentals learned.  

One of my favorite sayings is… 
“Practice doesn’t make perfect. Perfect practice makes progress.”

This was the favorite of the student couple during the Private Intro to Gun Safety & Pistol Class...

Both also passed the test to get their FSCs ( Firearm Safety Certificate ) earlier during the classroom portion of the course, are more comfortable around fi****ms, shot well at the range and ready to take the next step in their journey of safe and responsible gun ownership.
