Swizzle Dallas "On Tour" is heading to the Bay Area and making a stop at one of their FAVORITE tiki bars — Forbidden Island!
Swizzle was a gorgeous and much-loved Dallas tiki bar from 2020 to 2026, with roots stretching back to 2015 as a traveling tiki pop-up.

Now, Swizzle is hitting the road once again! Join us this Wednesday 9.30 as Jen and Marty Reyes bring the spirit, flavors and unmistakable flair of Swizzle to California for one very special night. Come experience a little taste of Dallas right here in the Bay Area! 🌴🍹

They'll be serving up a special menu featuring five unique and delicious Swizzle cocktails — plus a mocktail — showcasing the flair and flavors that made Swizzle such a beloved Dallas destination.

We're celebrating Jamaican Independence Day tomorrow, Thursday 8.6, the best way we know how; with Jasper Le Franc's Planter's Punch! Tun up di vibe with lime, Angostura bitters, nutmeg and Hamilton Jamaican Pot Still rum enjoyed on our patio is just the thing to put you in Montego Bay. The fun never stops on the Island! After a crazy back to back weekend of festivities, Dj SamoaBoy is back tomorrow, Thursday June 16, for another fun-filled Tropical escape to the 70s and 80s!

Miami Magic is a time warp featuring the best in Yacht Rock, Euro Pop and Disco, strictly 45rpm. In keeping with the theme, our Spirits director and all around nice guy, Miami Dave, has created some delicious themed cocktails to fit the occasion. Stop on by and boogie oogie woogie! 7 -11pm!

Join us tomorrow, Thursday June 11th, for Day 2 of our 20th Anniversary celebration as we welcome Captain Jab back to the Island after an absence of 6 years!

Every month for 13 years (2007 - 2020), The Jab aka Dean Curtis would take us on a hip-shaking musical journey through the glory days of Jet Travel, the 60s and 70s, spinning jet-age bachelor-pad music, lounge, exotica, international pop, soundtracks, ye ye and vintage grooves. And we're beyond excited to have him back!!

Our 20th Anniversary celebrations officially begin tomorrow, Weds June 10th, with Otto's Grotto, from 7 - 11pm. Join us we start paying tribute to the last 20 years and look forward to the next 20!

Tiki Oasis founder Otto von Stroheim first started DJ'ing a monthly Exotica event for our sister bar, Conga Lounge, way before Forbidden Island was created. In a delightful twist of fate, his event dubbed "Forbidden Island," foreshadowed the magic that was to come!

Fast forward a few years, and Otto found himself back behind the decks, this time at the actual Forbidden Island, spinning tunes for his new monthly event, Otto's Grotto. Here, he curated an irresistible blend of Exotica, surf, space-age pop, bachelor-pad jazz, vintage soundtrack music, and other mid-century sounds, all while welcoming a parade of talented guest DJs to join the sonic celebration.

We're less than ten days away from our 20th Anniversary Week celebration!
From Wednesday (6.10) through Saturday (6.13), we will host a variety of events featuring some of our favorite acts and DJs from years past. It all leads up to our official Anniversary celebration on Sunday, June 14th.
Please note that seating for the June 14th event is almost fully committed; however, we will be welcoming walk-ups all day long.
We look forward to celebrating this milestone with you.

It’s Trivia Night tonight! Join us and use those brain cells before you lose ‘em! We’ve been getting a steady turn out for this each week and it’s been great fun.

We at Forbidden Island are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our dear friend and Tiki artist extraordinaire, Daniel "Tiki Diablo" Gallardo.

Danny’s work and presence at Forbidden Island dates back to our very beginning. He carved our signature tiki, Kapu, which stands proudly in our indoor fountain; designed and sculpted our signature tiki mug and volcano bowl as well as our 10th, 11th, and 12th anniversary mugs.

Danny was always a pleasure to work with, and his immense talent never failed to amaze and inspire us. This is a significant loss for the Tiki community at large. Our deepest condolences go out to his wife and loved ones during this difficult time.

Rest in peace, Danny! Your memory and contribution to our history will never be forgotten!
