“Some of the most descriptive storytelling we have heard on the show.” —Distilling The West | Craft Spirits Podcast

“One of my favorite episodes that we’ve ever recorded!” — Nick Woodard

Before joining St. George Spirits more than two decades ago, head distiller Dave Smith was a creative writing major. Today, he remains a master storyteller, as evidenced by the messages in a bottle he creates here at the distillery—as well as in two new podcasts that just dropped back-to-back featuring compelling and inspiring conversations with Dave.

Listening to Dave share his views on the creative process, the intentionality behind everything we do, and his undying love for the work will give you a profound understanding of how we approach the world a little differently here at St. George Spirits—and may even fundamentally change how you think about spirits.

Looking for a refreshing and delicious cocktail for your next picnic, barbecue, or patio hang? Look no further.

This recipe brings together summer’s heavy hitters by combining lemonade with the best strawberries you can find in your local market and a fresh hit of basil (thanks to our Aqua Perfecta Basil Eau de Vie). Our bright and floral Valley Gin beautifully complements these ingredients and results in an adult beverage that calls to mind the simple pleasures of a classic summer cooler.

STRAWBERRY BASIL LEMONADE
1 1/2 oz St. George Valley Gin
1/2 oz Aqua Perfecta Basil Eau de Vie
4 oz fresh lemonade, sweetened to taste
2–3 strawberries, thinly sliced

Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice, then shake until strawberries are broken up and integrated. Strain into a Collins glass filled with ice and garnish with a fresh strawberry.

Need a bottle of Valley Gin or our Basil Eau de Vie to make this cocktail? We’re open 2-6pm today, noon–6pm tomorrow and Sunday, or shop anytime at stgeorgespirits.com/shop or at the link in bio.

Still at it.

A bit of history: St. George Spirits was founded in 1982 by Jörg Rupf as a dedicated eau de vie distillery. Over the last 44 years, our family of spirits has grown to include a number of gins, vodkas, liqueurs, single malt whiskey, shochu, and more. The craft distillation movement has grown alongside us over the decades, and we’ve been joined by thousands of new distilleries across the country.

The more that the American spirits landscape has changed, the more important our philosophy has become: make amazing spirits, unlike anything else available on the market, with innovation, quality, and integrity.

Our commitment to our craft has resulted in 10 James Beard Foundation Award nominations, membership in the Whisky Magazine Hall of Fame, and induction into the Spirit Journal Hall of Fame.

We pledge to craft quintessential spirits to delight hedonists and genius bartenders alike—and when you taste our spirits, we hope that the character and quality of what’s in your glass will convey to you what we’re all about.

Thanks for reading, and thank you for your ongoing support over all the years. The work never stops around here, and we look forward to sharing even more with you soon.

Blossoms, meet bubbles. Scent, meet effervescence.

Our Valley Gin Tonica is aromatherapy in your glass: lightly floral thanks to the orange blossoms we use to make our Valley Gin, with light citrus notes balanced by verdant freshness. Keep it easy, garnish freely, and enjoy an instant mood-lifter.

VALLEY GIN TONICA
2 oz St. George Valley Gin
4 oz quality tonic (Fevertree recomended)

Fill a large wine glass 3/4 full of ice, add Valley Gin, top with tonic, and stir gently to combine. Garnish as you like with grapefruit, orange, fresh herbs, or edible flowers.
