There’s something special about walking and rolling to school with your community. Our Nea families came together to celebrate International Walk & Roll to School Day, joined by Alameda Mayor Marilyn Ezzy Ashcroft !

Nea’s annual walkathon was a great success! Thank you to our amazing learners, facilitators, parent volunteers, and PTSA who all attended, supported, encouraged, and participated!
History coming to life through project based learning with Ms. Rad. Our 8th graders have been diving into their Native American Research Projects - researching, analyzing, and developing a deeper understanding of history, cultures, and experiences. As part of their assignment, learners shared their work with our 7th graders, giving them an opportunity to practice communicating their learning with confidence,
Our Nea staff stepped beyond the classroom for a pd of learning, collaboration, and fresh perspectives. Thank you to Bay Area Makerfarm for hosting us! Opportunities like these give our team time to connect, share pbl ideas, and bring new things to share with our learners. At Nea, learning never stops - for our learners or our staff.
