Located along Judah Street in San Francisco’s Outer Sunset, Pacific Transit (2024) is a site-specific public artwork by Jesse Schlesinger, commissioned by the San Francisco Arts Commission.

We were delighted to have Juan Carlos Calderoli Fanego - founder of COCO Concrete Company in Paraguay - join us for the U.S. State Department’s Leaders of the Americas Initiative - YLAI Program. Over the past month, Juan spent time with our team learning about our design, fabrication, and business operations approach.

Juan shared, “It was a very enriching and fortunate experience that the YLAI Program connected us. I was able to meet all the staff at Concreteworks, learn about their work culture, their management, and also their approach to design. Special thanks to Mark and Joe for all the great time we shared. In addition to all the knowledge I'm taking back to my country, I'm taking with me the warm welcome from everyone at Concreteworks, a family passionate about what they do and about doing things well. I hope we can collaborate on projects with COCO soon.”

This fellowship provided our team with insight into Juan’s process, the struggles of concrete fabrication in a small country like Paraguay, and the ingenious ways to procure materials and create proprietary mix designs that perform. We are grateful to have hosted him, look forward to seeing his business grow, and hope to work together again soon.

Iwamoto Scott’s 1450 Owens

We engaged early in the design process to help shape the cladding strategy for the building’s primary entrance. Working closely with the design and construction teams, we contributed to the panelization and detailing of 16-foot tall GFRC panels for the building’s entry portal. The result is a refined cladding solution that invites users into the space.

Our early engagement and BIM expertise led to an efficient installation of these large-scale panels while the project was coming down to the wire.

This project proves that detailed communication and deep material knowledge enhances both the spatial experience and the architectural language of the workplace.

301 Howard St.

Designed by Huntsman Architectural Group, we created custom wall panels for the lobby of the office tower at 301 Howard St. in San Francisco. The panels introduce texture and depth, with a surface that undulates across the space like fabric curtains.

AIA Reception Desk

In collaboration with Aidlin Darling Design we designed and fabricated a reception desk for the Center for Architecture + Design. Defined by a doubly curved, organic form and conceived as a single monolithic piece, the desk serves as an architectural centerpiece that anchors the space with spatial clarity.
