If you've come by the shop lately, you might have noticed something new! Let me introduce to you my favorite lotion ever. I stumbled upon it at a coffee shop when I was visiting my hometown in LA and became obsessed. Inspired by the effervescent scents of Positano, Italy and the wild fig trees of the Amalfi Coast, the fragrances are fresh, earthy, and wonderfully unique. The lotions are infused with Caffe Luxxe's own green coffee extract, making them rich in antioxidants and perfectly moisturizing.
They've been selling like crazy so come treat yourself to a little Italian vacation before we run out!
What a great first week back - thank you so much for the warm reception! We have a couple quick updates as we get rolling:
We're currently buying *by appointment only* as we continue settling into our new space. Before bringing items to the shop, please email [email protected] with:
• A brief description of what you'd like to sell
• Approximate quantities
• A few photos
We appreciate your flexibility - this will really help us keep the buying process more manageable.
Also, our phone is working again! Same phone number as before: 510-337-0750. Please note, this is a landline so cannot send or receive texts ;)
OK, that's all for now - thank you again for all your amazing support and positivity!

Thank you for the best opening weekend we could have ever asked for. I can't tell you how happy it made me to see you again, and all the hugs and excited joy shared was just spectacular.
I'll admit, I was really scared to unveil an unfinished store after being closed for so long. This relocation was a huge leap of faith, a behemoth of an investment, and 6 months of extremely hard work. But you folks showed up and showed us that it was entirely worth it.
There is still a lot of work to do, so these will be our hours for the next month or so, as we continue to get the shop fully up and running. We plan to start buying again in June, though we are always grateful for donations.
We love you and are thrilled to be back!
Thank you so much to all the amazing volunteers that came and helped today!! It was so touching and encouraging that I'm ok with the shop still being a work in progress. We will open as planned, and keep filling in the shelves and adding more as we settle into our huge new home. ❤️❤️❤️
*Please know we don't have everything out yet, but we do have lots of great books, DVDs, and vintage clothes + at least 1 crate of vinyl.

We need help! If anyone is free to volunteer for an hour or two tomorrow (Friday 5/22), we could really use the extra hands! The main things we need help with are:
* moving boxes of books from a back room to their designated areas in the main store
* unboxing books and organizing them on the shelf alphabetically or by subject
* opening boxes of display stands, unwrapping them, and dispersing them around the store
* same for CDs, vinyl & DVDs if we can get to them
If possible, please RSVP so I can get a feel for how many folks are coming. Or if you want to just drop in, that's great too! Come to our orange backdoor anytime between noon and 8pm and we will put you to work.
A huge thank you to Edison Elementary for showing up yesterday, and to their phenomenal librarian, Ms. Youngman, for the brilliant idea of having a green book fair. It was such a monumental success - even after restocking halfway through, we SOLD OUT of books! That enthusiasm is why we are investing so much in creating this new community space - and hopefully a green book fair tradition 💚

Rocket Reuse is hosting the Spring Book Fair at Edison Elementary this Wednesday, May 13! This has been a dream come true and full circle moment for us, having been huge book fair fans as kids. Here are some photos from this morning's setup. The best part? All the books are used! If you have a kid at Edison, be sure to come by during Open House on Wednesday 😍

The first in a series of limited edition Rocket Reuse totes! I had so much fun designing these with my talented friend Kaitlyn, who used a composite of photos to capture Raider's sweet, goofy spirit 🖤🤍 Available very soon 😉 wink wink
Good News!! We are getting close to reopening in our new location. Finishing up the floors then assembling the many many bookshelves we custom built. I'll announce the date soon, but we are on target for mid May 🌼
