Alameda Point Partners is the development team selected by the City of Alameda to reimagine Site A at Alameda Point.
Site A is the exciting first step in transforming Alameda Point into a mixed-use neighborhood. Since being selected as the developer for the 68-acre parcel in November 2014, Alameda Point Partners (APP) has been and will continue working diligently with City electeds, staff, and community stakeholders to execute the keystone of Alameda’s Town Center and Waterfront Precise Plan, which calls for a t
ransit-oriented mixed-use development at Site A. To be delivered in three phases, Site A will ultimately include 800 residential units, up to 200,000 square feet of new retail, and up to 400,000 square feet of commercial/retail development in rehabilitated buildings. The first phase, anticipated to start construction in 2016, will consist of approximately 650 residential units and 100,000 square feet of neighborhood and destination commercial/retail space. The neighborhoods within Site A will be oriented around a series of linked parks and open space; each programmed differently to provide for a variety of experiences and located to put everyone within Site A within one block of a park. Upon completion, the project will include a diversity of architecture and uses, as well as 200 affordable units. Approximately two-thirds of the market rate residential will be rental and there will be approximately 14 acres of publicly accessible parks, plazas, and open space. The site will serve as the gateway to Alameda Point, and to the waterfront and retail core.
