Summer Art Club is a four-part series open to children ages 8-13 this summer at Bay Farm Island Library. We aim to create a supportive environment for creativity, fun, and collaboration! There are two opportunities for each craft offered this summer: Play with Clay and Decorate a Canvas Bag. All dates and times will be on Mondays from 2:00-3:30PM, and the events will take place outside to the right of Bay Farm Island Library: June 15th and July 13th (Play with Clay) and June 29th and July 27th (Decorate a Canvas Bag). Meet featured authors and explore the work of more than 40 local authors, illustrators, and vendors offering something for readers and book lovers of all ages.

Pride is here and we couldn't be more excited! Join us for Bay Farm Island Library's first ever Pride Festival on Saturday, June 20th from 10:30AM-1PM. We'll begin our festival with a Drag Storytime hosted by the Bay Area's own Jota Mercury (they/he), followed by face painting, crafts, fun, bubbles, and community resources. We hope you can celebrate Pride with all of us!
Flashlight Fridays are back! At the Main Library during the months of June and July, independent readers can sign up for a 30-minute session in one of our tents, complete with a “campfire,” flashlights, and a cozy pillow, where readers can read alone to the sound of crickets. Appointments begin at 2:00pm and registration is required. Click the events calendar link in our bio for more information.

Join us for a Sewing Workshop for Kids series this summer at the Main Library! Each week will feature a different project suited for beginners ages 8-14. 🧵
These six workshops will cover the basics of hand sewing and provide plenty of practice while making fun projects for participants to take home.

Wylding Woods puppeteers will be presenting Barnaby and the Dragon's Treasure at the West End Library on Thursday, June 13 at 3pm. This is a 50-minute show featuring Lexi, the storybook fairy, Barnaby, the troll, and Agnor, the dragon. Barnaby has escaped from the story of the Three Billy Goats Gruff and has stolen Agnor’s treasure. Help Barnaby in this highly interactive puppet show to return the stolen treasure.
