Video production house located in Northern California.
“Stages” opens with a kiss. Then he’s gone. Nothing but blood.
Nightmares often don’t start in the dark, they start somewhere safe, somewhere you love, and then the floor drops out. We wanted Dalila’s opening nightmare to feel exactly like that. One second you’re holding someone. The next you’re screaming with their blood on your face and you don’t know how you got there.
🎬 From cast to crew, a moment like this only works when everyone is fully locked in. And every single person on set has to trust each other enough to go there together.
That’s what making short films is really about. The budget is small, the crew is tight, and you’re left with creative problem solving to make your art and tell your story. Our crew is top notch and absolutely crushed this opening scene💪

We're excited to announce that this year, we’re kicking things up a notch at Code Bear Media with 1-day short films!
These are 3-5 page scripts shot in a single day, right here in the Sacramento/Placer County area. Our goal? To hone our craft, create awesome content for social media such as BTS, and produce high-quality material all collaborators can use for their reels. While unfortunately, these productions are not paid, we are so grateful for your donated time and hope this leads to future collaborations.
🎭 Our first short: "Method"
On the eve of a community theater's opening night, struggling actress Katie faces her insecurities and frustrations as she prepares to play Lady Macbeth. When the fictional Lady Macbeth appears in her dressing room mirror, Katie must confront her own fears and ambitions, blurring the lines between reality and character to deliver the performance of her life.
📍 Filming Location: Lincoln, CA

🩸Practical effects bring the nightmares to life. One of the most exciting parts of making “Stages” was developing the creature that haunts Dalila’s grief. This idea evolved through collaboration between and director , shaping a presence that feels both terrifying and symbolic.
Bringing the vision to reality took an incredible team:
👹 Costume, Mask & Gloves Design – .kg
🎭 Special Effects Makeup –
🖌️ Makeup Assistance –
From fabrication and costuming to detailed SFX makeup, every piece was crafted with care to create a memorable creature. We can’t wait for you to experience it when “Stages” premieres March 1st!
