Cardinal Moving & Storage

Quick question: how many boxes do you think you'd need for your next move? 📦

The average home move uses 60 to 100 of them. Most get used once and end up in the trash.

Before you buy a single box, try this:
- Ask grocery stores, liquor stores, and bookshops for their extras
- Check Facebook Marketplace and Nextdoor (someone always just finished moving)
- Look into reusable plastic bin rentals. Same cost as cardboard, zero landfill.

You might be surprised how much you can collect for free. Full guide in the comments 👇

There's something about a farmers market in October that just feels like home. 🍂

The Heart of Willoughby market has this small-town main street feel that you don't expect this close to a major city. Apple c***r, local vendors, the whole thing. If you're on the east side of the metro and haven't made it out there yet, it's worth the trip.

Cleveland doesn't always get the credit it deserves for community life. Markets like these are exactly why we love calling Northeast Ohio our home base. Cardinal Moving & Storage is proud to serve this region, and posts like this are our way of sharing what makes it worth moving to.

Two weeks' notice in July puts you in competition with everyone else who waited. Six to eight weeks out gives you real options: the date you want, the crew size you need, and a clear written estimate with no surprises.

Peak season is behind us now, and fall timelines are more flexible. But the principle holds year-round: the earlier you call, the better your move goes.

Here's what one of our happy customers had to say:

Most senior living facilities are smaller than the home someone is leaving. That means decisions about furniture, keepsakes, and belongings that have accumulated over years. Some things go to family. Some go to donate. And sometimes, you need a little more time before you decide.

Cardinal offers short-term storage alongside senior moves. If something isn't quite ready to let go of, it doesn't have to be. We can hold it while the family figures out the next step.

We serve Akron, Cleveland, Canton, Medina, Ravenna, and surrounding Northeast Ohio communities.
