Congratulations to our Head Coach, Shabalov , on winning GOLD at the 2026 World Senior Team Championship!

We are incredibly proud to celebrate this remarkable achievement and to have such an accomplished and inspiring leader guiding our students.

A huge congratulations as well to Team USA 50+ for their outstanding performance and bringing home the gold:
Jaan Ehlvest, Alexander Shabalov, Gregory Kaidanov, Igor Novikov, and Stuart Rachels.

We also extend our congratulations to both of USA’s gold medal teams at the championship—an incredible showing on the world stage! 🇺🇸

Moments like these inspire our entire community and remind us what excellence, dedication, and passion for the game can achieve.

Three years ago, we launched Chess for Cure with a simple belief: that strategy, community, and compassion can come together to create meaningful impact.
Today, I’m proud to share that we are hosting our 3rd Annual Chess for Cure Gala on April 24th 2026 followed by a Fide Rated Chess Championship on April 25th and 26th 2026♟️✨
What began as an idea has grown into a powerful initiative, bringing together players, families, and supporters to raise awareness and funding for an important cause. Each move on the board represents something greater, a step toward change.
As we prepare for this year’s gala, we are aiming to expand our impact even further.

Working with the Ohio Department of Youth Services through the chess program has been one of my favorite journey

Our incredible Chess for Cure volunteers and student leaders were officially recognized by State Senator Casey Weinstein, and our hearts are overflowing with gratitude. To have our young changemakers acknowledged at the state level is not just an honor — it is a powerful affirmation that service, leadership, and compassion truly matter.
Senator Weinstein’s recognition means more than words can express. It tells our students that their commitment to giving back, mentoring others, and using chess as a force for good is being seen, valued, and celebrated.
