IMPORTANT UPDATE: The Akron Area PRSA chapter has been officially sunsetted and merged with the Greater Cleveland Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).

A task force has been assembled to ensure a smooth transition for PR professionals in the Akron, Canton and neighboring areas.

What does this mean? It means the Northeast Ohio community of PR practitioners has become stronger and more unified. It also means you can expect your new chapter to:

• Maintain Akron Chapter rates for existing Akron members, with local dues continuing at the $55 rate through the end of 2024

• Provide value and perks that current Cleveland members enjoy to our Akron-area members, including free access to webinar resources, discounted tickets to in-person networking events and awards shows, access to our membership directory and contacts, APR support, mentorship and more

• Commit to at least one happy hour networking event per year hosted in the Akron/Canton Area to allow professionals from both areas to come together and collaborate

• Honor the rich legacy of the Akron Area chapter on the Cleveland PRSA website, as well as other targeted channels

• Remain connected through surveys, newsletters, website and social media platforms
