ding next to her – and I looked like a bowling ball! So, I decided to lose a “few pounds”. In my goal to get fit, I rekindled a childhood passions for cycling. I began riding with a “tri” group for fun. Soon, I got talked into swimming. Then it was running. The rest, they say, is history. And now, the favorite part of my day is my workout. In our tri group, runners and cyclists are always thinking about safety. But, it was an article I read that really got me to thinking. A trucker had hit a cyclist but the officer at the scene chose not to ticket the trucker. The officer felt the cyclist hadn’t been seen and might have avoided the accident had he been wearing something more reflective. This bothered me a lot. I began thinking about all the times that as a driver, I had come upon runners and cyclists seemingly out of nowhere. I didn’t see them till I was practically on top of them. So, I bought a “reflective” shirt. Problem: I work out every day, so now I needed every shirt to be reflective. And so began my quest: to find something that was reflective, easy to use, lightweight and comfortable enough for me to wear, and that wouldn’t interfere with my workouts. The BeSafe Tag was born out of this quest. I couldn’t find such a product, so I invented my own. I wear my BeSafe Tag every time I workout. It is so lightweight that I forget I’m even wearing it! I keep it on top of my sneakers in my workout bag. I just grab, snap and go. It’s really that simple. My BeSafe Tag has our company logo on it, but yours can have whatever you want on it.
