The groundbreaking marks the start of something impactful. We’re thankful to continue our long-standing relationship with District 300 as we work together to expand learning opportunities at Dundee-Crown, and we appreciate the Village of Carpentersville’s support on this important project. Teamwork makes great things happen.
🚧 The future of Carpentersville is being built in many places—and today, it took shape at Dundee-Crown High School.
Village officials joined District 300, Dundee-Crown High School leadership, students, and community partners to celebrate the groundbreaking of a new student commons area and Career & Technical Education Center at Dundee-Crown.
These improvements represent more than bricks and mortar—they are an investment in our students, our workforce, and the future of our community.
The new facilities will provide expanded opportunities for students to explore careers, develop hands-on skills, and prepare for success in an ever-changing workforce. From skilled trades and technology to culinary arts and engineering pathways, this investment helps ensure our students have access to modern learning environments and opportunities that prepare them to compete, lead, and thrive.
Strong schools help build strong communities. As Carpentersville continues to grow, projects like these strengthen our neighborhoods, support local workforce development, and create opportunities for the next generation right here at home.
We are proud to support investments that help our students succeed and continue positioning Carpentersville as a community that values innovation, opportunity, and excellence.
Congratulations to Dundee-Crown High School and District 300 on this exciting milestone. We look forward to watching this vision become reality over the coming year. 💙⚡

Lamp Incorporated was very happy to be a sponsor and to support the dedicated parks and recreation professionals who help make Illinois communities vibrant, healthy, and welcoming for all. Thank you to the Illinois Park and Recreation Association and Bolingbrook Park District for a fantastic event!
ATTENTION: On Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 10:00 am-2:00 pm, the Bolingbrook Park District, along with the support of the Village of Bolingbrook, is hosting an Illinois Parks & Recreation Association event called “Park Pursuit.” This fun and competitive race will draw park and recreation professionals from around the state. The theme of this year’s race is “Get Your Kicks on Route 66” in honor of the 100th anniversary of America’s most famous roadway.
Approximately 300 participants wearing blue event t-shirts will run through various neighborhoods and parks in and around Bolingbrook. Sixty volunteers in black t-shirts will man check-in locations at designated stops on the course. Participants are encouraged to remain on sidewalks and use safe crosswalks throughout the event. The course is designed to cause little to no disruption to the community.
The Bolingbrook Park District, along with the support of the Village of Bolingbrook, is excited to host this extraordinary event, where recreation professionals around the state can enjoy fun competition and team building in one of Chicagolands’ most incredible communities.
