🎼Here I am at 12 during a piano recital. My instructor behind me probably never thought I’d become a music teacher myself one day! I’m so thankful for the experience, even though I quit shortly after this was taken😢. One of my biggest regrets in life, but I never let it stop me! 💪🏻
🎓I went on to get a Bachelor’s in 🎹Piano Studies (as well as business and communications) so that I can bring the same joy my teacher brought to my students. However, I wanted to teach with a little less stress! I never want to be the reason a student 🚫 quits music, like I did at 13, or quits their dream. I’m so happy to have been able to help the 100s of people who came to me for lessons! 👏🏻🥹

Ahmir has been a voice student with me since last summer, and since then he has developed his range from 2 octaves to 3 + 1/2! For those not familiar with ranges, that’s a lot!
I’m so proud and happy to have been able to teach such a talented student, and he is certainly going to accomplish great things in music! 🤩🎤🎸🎧🎹
A lifetime skill, something you’ll never lose. A love for music is like a love for literature. When you finish a good book, pages filled with lots of challenges to overcome, it’s like you’ve grown with the story by the end. Also with a song, once you conquer what seemed unconquerable, you feel like you’ve grown! That’s my favorite part of being a music teacher, is helping people see their potential and amaze themselves with what they, and we, are all capable of: growth.📈
My student (who played this piece so beautifully!!) has been with Face the Music for the longest! This video is from last year(Piano Adventures book 1 Ferris Wheel), and since then she has grown so much as a musician. She has stuck with her practice, has improved upon her skills, and she is now in the second book and doing an amazing job!! 🎹
I can’t imagine a happier feeling than teaching music, and I want to extend that joy to my students so they feel excited to learn and happy to improve upon their talents. 🖤🎹🎵

Lofi character! 😍🎶
Have you ever listened to Lofi? 🎧
The term “lo-fi” was first commonly used in the 1950's. It is short for “low-fidelity”, which means low quality. Lo-fi is a music or production quality in which elements usually regarded as imperfections of a recording or performance are audible, sometimes as a deliberate aesthetic choice.
Some of the reasons as to why lo-fi is so popular are: Relaxing effect and perfect tempo to keep listeners engaged without making them sleepy. As there are no lyrics, there are no distractions, which leads to better reading comprehension and writing.
Super interesting! Try it out while studying or just to relax 🧘🏻♀️🛀🏻😌
