CeNET was instigated in 2006 by multidisciplinary Specialists in Public Health, Nutrition, Technology, Agriculture, Epidemiology, Social Sciences, Gender, Health Economics, Statistics, Monitoring and Evaluation of Programs and Service Research. CeNET is built on the fact good health is a core aspect of livelihoods of people in Uganda, and that currently there are prominent gaps in knowledge, practices, attitudes and coverage (KAPC) of appropriate health behaviors in different communities throughout Uganda. CeNET is focused on addressing the prominent gaps in health, nutrition, gender and other socio-economic disparities for the betterment of lives and economic productivity of Ugandans especially the most vulnerable populations through provision of health promotion interventions.
