The Project is Sponspoured by Book Aid International and World Reader through National Library of Uganda. Currently 5 Public Libraries are implemenenting. Book Aid International want children to have all the opportunities that new technology can offer. To meet this need, they launched a digital component to our Open Doors project, introducing e-readers into Children’s Corners to complement the printed reading materials we
provide in public and community libraries.

Large Print & Community Building In the previous article, we explored four libraries’ techniques for acquiring, curating, and promoting their large print collections. We also asked each librarian or manager to talk about how they use the collections in their community programs and outreach efforts. What we found was encouraging.
