World Environment Day 2026
A Global Call for Climate Action
June 5th, 2026
Today, as the world marks World Environment Day, we join the global call for climate action.
Climate change is no longer a distant threat. In Uganda, we see it in erratic rainfall, prolonged droughts, flooding in urban centers, and pressure on natural resources. For businesses, these changes translate into operational risk, regulatory pressure, and reputational exposure.
At Plan Rite Consult, our role is clear: to help organizations plan responsibly for the environment today, so they remain resilient tomorrow.
Through Environmental and Social Impact Assessments, waste management planning, carbon and energy audits, and climate adaptation strategies, we partner with corporates, developers, and institutions to ensure compliance with NEMA and international ESG standards. More importantly, we help clients reduce cost, manage risk, and build trust with stakeholders.
Our commitment for 2026:
1. Support SMEs with subsidized Environmental Compliance Audits to identify actionable climate risks.
2. Advocate for planning that prioritizes nature-based solutions and resource efficiency in every project.
3. Continue equipping clients with data-driven insights that turn environmental obligations into business opportunities.
The theme this year is _“A Global Call for Climate Action”_. The call is not just for governments and NGOs. It is for every boardroom, every project manager, every procurement team.
Plan. Act. Measure. That is how we move from pledges to progress.
We invite our corporate partners to take one measurable climate action this year. If you need a starting point, our team is ready to help.
For the planet. For business. For future generations.

What are the skills for adapting to new programs in urban planning?
1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: Being able to analyze complex urban planning issues and come up with effective solutions is crucial when adapting to new programs.
2. Research and data analysis skills: Urban planning often involves gathering and analyzing data to inform decision-making. Having strong research and data analysis skills can help in understanding and adapting to new programs.
3. Communication and collaboration skills: Urban planning often involves working with various stakeholders, such as government officials, community members, and other professionals. Being able to effectively communicate and collaborate with others is important when adapting to new programs.
4. Flexibility and adaptability: Urban planning is a dynamic field, and new programs may require adapting to changing circumstances and evolving needs. Being flexible and adaptable can help in quickly adjusting to new programs.
5. Knowledge of urban planning principles and practices: Having a solid foundation in urban planning principles and practices is essential when adapting to new programs. This includes understanding zoning regulations, transportation planning, environmental considerations, and other relevant aspects of urban planning.
