The Earthing Pit
How? The pit is dug into the ground and a galvanised iron plate is placed inside with charcoal and sand to maintain low resistance on the plate. An earth wire is bolted to the plate before burying it.
Why? 🤔The purpose of this pit is to absorb excess electricity and electrical shocks caused by abnormalities that always cause fire in homes and other places that use electricity.
