It’s unfortunate that most lightening conductors installed in Uganda offer very little protection from electrical and lightening shocks. The problem starts with the size of the copper tape used and whether it is insulated or not. A few conductors have received and transmitted lightening loads. For any conductor of electricity that is accessible to humans and animals, insulation is important. A copper tape that is not insulated is a high risk point on a house exposed to lightening and electricity leakages.
