Many years ago I happened to be visiting the Vatican on a day when the Pope would make an appearance. The grace and elegance of this woman caught my eye as she strolled around the exterior corridors gently chatting in Italian to a priest. She appeared like a classic film star, like she loved her live in black and white. A moment that will always be sharp in my memory as I marvel at the diversity of humans

Refugees in Lebanon learn to read and write at a free school designed to help women and children get on their feet. Itโs so often women and children who suffer the most at the hands of violence in countries of conflict. My heart goes to those in Afghanistan right now. ๐ค
