When you see rose petals in a tea blend, you might think they're there for the colour.

And yes, they are beautiful.

But rose can play a much more interesting role in blending.

Rose petals bring a delicate floral aroma and a soft, distinctive character to the cup. They can add another sensory layer without necessarily overpowering the other botanicals.

Not every ingredient needs to be the star. For us, rose can either be a supporting or an enhancing botanical.

When you brew loose-leaf tea, don't leave the leaves sitting in the cup indefinitely. Once it has reached the strength you enjoy, remove/strain the leaves. Otherwise, continued extraction can change the flavor and make the cup more bitter or astringent.
