๐โ โ โ โ โ โ โ **Introduction to Braille Workshop Recap!** โ โ โ โ โ โ โ ๐
What an amazing turnout! ๐ Our **Introduction to Braille Workshop**, held yesterday, August 10th, facilitated by our own Cleavon Brathwaite and Nyol Manwell, was a full house of enthusiastic participants eager to learn, explore, and promote greater inclusion. ๐
Participants learned about:
โ ฟ The **purpose and importance of Braille**
โ ฟ How to **identify and read basic Braille characters**
โ ฟ Hands-on techniques for **writing Braille**
โ ฟ The **Braille indicators found on local Trinidad and Tobago currency** ๐ต
โ ฟ The services offered by **NALIS**, including one-on-one training sessions and the conversion of books and textbooks into Braille
โ ฟ The importance of **accessibility, inclusion and lifelong learning**
It was a wonderful opportunity to build awareness, develop practical skills, and gain a deeper appreciation for how Braille helps create more inclusive spaces for everyone. ๐๐

Join us at the **Couva Public Library** for a **FREE Introduction to Braille Workshop** and learn about the purpose and importance of braille, identify and read basic braille characters, gain hands-on experience writing braille, explore braille resources, and promote inclusion and lifelong learning.
