How well do we understand the surfaces that come into contact with food?

In a production kitchen, ingredients come into contact with various pieces of equipment and surfaces throughout preparation. Therefore, suitability for food contact should also be assessed when selecting coatings for metal components.

BPC Kimya’s powder coatings product, code 65.10S1M9016, which has been tested for food-contact suitability, offers a coating option for metal surfaces used in food processing, storage and handling equipment.

Independent laboratory testing showed no perceptible effect on odour or taste and detected no release of extractable heavy metals under the tested conditions.

The product’s suitability is limited to the scope and conditions of the tests performed.

During the training, led by Dr. Ebru Takcı, we gained valuable insights into improving process efficiency, reducing waste, and integrating the continuous improvement approach into our business processes.

We took the first step in our lean transformation journey with the Kick-Off Meeting held in collaboration with Kayseri Model Factory.
During the meeting, our Production, Quality Control, and R&D teams were briefed on the process, while the planned activities and objectives for the upcoming period were thoroughly discussed.

We believe this valuable collaboration, aimed at making our processes more efficient, sustainable, and continuously improving, will make a significant contribution to our company.

Our colleagues from BPC’s Production Planning, Quality Control, Maintenance & Repair, and Production departments successfully completed the Lean Transformation Training Program organized by Kayseri Model Factory between August 19–26, 2026.

We believe that the knowledge and approaches gained during the program will make a valuable contribution to improving the efficiency and sustainability of our processes while supporting a culture of continuous improvement.
