Did you know each member of the Ginyu Force had a bizarrely unique childhood?

These backstories were told in the special content section of the NES game guide for Dragon Ball Z II: The Violent God Freeza, and honestly, each of them really lived up to being a Ginyu Force member.

**Burter**
Raised by an extremely strict mother — he had to do the laundry, clean the house, and if he came home late he'd get punished hard. But he says that's exactly what trained him to become "the fastest man in the universe."

**Jeice**
As a kid he was both a pitcher in the Galactic Junior Baseball League and a spiker in space volleyball, before developing his signature move, Crusher Ball, from that experience.

**Recoome**
His flashy poses and elegant movements came from studying ballet since childhood.

**Guldo**
He discovered his time-stop and paralysis powers when he was very young — and then used them to bully others, steal toys, and cause all kinds of trouble, to the point that he himself admits he was a genuine troublemaker as a kid.

**Ginyu**
Once he found out he could body-swap, he swapped with the richest kid in class and spent a while buying popularity with money — until he got bored and concluded:

"In the end, a real man should stand on his own strength!"

So it turns out none of them just suddenly got weird as adults — they were already like that since childhood.
