Research Meditation for Educational Supervisors

The Office of Basic Education Commission, Human Development Academy, and Community Learning Center came together for a professional development program focused on building mindful, wise, and resilient leadership in education.

Through Research Meditation, guided practice, Social Emotional Learning, case studies, and reflective discussions, educational supervisors explored ways to better understand themselves, manage challenges, build trust, and communicate more effectively with teachers and school communities.

As part of the program, participants also had the opportunity to join a workshop with teachers from The American School of Bangkok Green Valley, observing and experiencing how Mental Practice is integrated into classroom learning and how teachers guide students through practical mental development activities.

The session was led by Ajarn Hartanto Gunawan, Advisor to ASBGV and Director of the Community Learning Center, together with Ms. Gift Nisanart, Head of School at ASBGV, highlighting another meaningful collaboration in bringing mental development and mindful education into everyday school practice.

Because meaningful change in education begins not only with knowledge and skills, but also with the development of the mind, wisdom, and the ability to support others with understanding.

Every Friday, The Human Development Academy, together with the Community Learning Center led by Ajarn Hartanto Gunawan, conducts a Research Meditation training program for healthcare professionals from Thonburi Hospital.

Held over 8 consecutive weeks, this program provides participants with a deeper understanding of Research Meditation and equips them with practical techniques to support their own mental well-being while enhancing the care and emotional support they provide to their patients.

Together, we are empowering healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills to foster healthier minds and stronger communities. 💙

The Human Development Academy, together with the Community Learning Center led by Ajarn Hartanto Gunawan, recently participated in the New Student Orientation 2026 for the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University. During the event, Ajarn Hartanto Gunawan and Ms. Gift led a special session on “Mental Well-being for Freshmen.” Ajarn Hartanto Gunawan teaches students the principles of Research Meditation and the two fundamental Laws of Nature, the Law of Cause and Effect and Impermanence to help them build resilience, manage stress, and successfully adapt to university life. 🧘‍♂️📚✨

The event was also honored to welcome Khun Thada Savetsila, Advisor to True Corporation, who delivered a special talk and shared valuable insights with the students, inspiring them to embrace innovation and prepare for the future. 🤖💡

The Community Learning Center, in collaboration with the Human Development Academy and The American School of Bangkok, recently hosted “Engaging U.S. Donors: Practical Pathways for Thai NGOs.”

The session brought together foundations, nonprofit organizations, and social purpose organizations to explore practical approaches to engaging U.S. donors, understanding the American philanthropic landscape, and expanding access to international funding opportunities.

Through shared experiences, expert insights, and meaningful discussions, participants gained valuable perspectives on building sustainable support for impactful work both locally and globally.
