‘’Unlike any other song in the FranKo library ‘Slip Away’ musically showcases the band’s sensitive, more vulnerable side. Lyrically the song explores themes of surrender and celebrates the simplicity of being in love. I received this demo from Richard around the time I was first falling in love, I must have been twenty or so. I distinctly remember how happy I was when writing the lyrics. 15 years later and my relationship to love has matured and become more complex. However, I feel very grateful to have captured that innocence of first love and been able to record it down.”

「『Slip Away』は、FranKoの楽曲の中でもこれまでにない作品で、音楽的にはバンドの繊細でより脆さのある一面を表現しています。歌詞では、身を委ねることや、恋をしていることのシンプルな喜びをテーマにしています。このデモをRichardから受け取ったのは、ちょうど僕が初めて恋に落ちた頃でした。確か20歳くらいだったと思います。歌詞を書いていたときの幸福感は、今でもはっきり覚えています。それから15年が経ち、僕の“愛”に対する捉え方はより成熟し、複雑なものになりました。それでも、あの初恋の無垢な気持ちを形として残し、こうしてレコーディングできたことをとてもありがたく思っています。」— 必要なら、もっとカジュアル寄り／フォーマル寄りにも調整できるよ。
