The Economy and Rule of Law In South Sudan. Economic development is crucial for increasing a country's prosperity. It creates an environment that improves people's living standards and fosters sustainable, high-quality jobs. It drives economic growth by fostering business innovation, attracting investment, and strengthening the local tax base and service delivery. However, with the crisis, South Sudanese continue to grapple with the reality of economic distress and survival. Yesterday, April 22/26, we held a one-day Economic Symposium Dialogue at the Palm Africa Hotel, Juba, South Sudan. The purpose of this event is to analyze the cross-sectoral and cross-border spill-over impact of the liquidity crisis in South Sudan on migration and trade. This discussion brought together over 50 participants drawn from National and State government institutions, CSOs, and Business representatives. A bright future stands ahead of this generation of Youth Leaders. Today, we celebrate these student representatives of the 10 Secondary Schools in Yei River County who tremendously guided their teams throughout the 3rd Annual Music, Dance, and Drama (MDD) Competition in 2025 and their administrations.

Let the Youth be Agents of Peace and Unity. In Lainya County, the 2nd Annual Bishop Youth Tournament started and it is such an excitement bringing young people from Munduri, Morobo, Yei and Lainya counties of Central Equatoria State. This is an Initiative of the Catholic Diocese of Yei and we proud to be of this initiative.
