New Publication Alert!
You’re welcome to dive into my latest analysis on Democracy in Africa “Rethinking Africa’s Continuous Participation in the United Nations: A Case for UN Headquarters’ Relocation.”
I take on a bold and timely question: Can the UN truly be universal if nearly 10 % of its membership faces barriers to physically participate in its core decision-making space, and what would relocating the headquarters mean for Africa and global multilateralism?
From travel bans shaping diplomacy to the promise of shifting the centre of global governance, this piece challenges how we think about inclusion, equity, and Africa’s role on the world stage.

42 Women in the Parliament of Sierra Leone, Yet Missing from the Constitutional Amendment Conversation?
Over the past week, Sierra Leone’s media houses are deservedly praised for opening space for public constitutional engagement. They have hosted multiple discussions featuring legislators and political party representatives. However, the dominant voices in these conversations remain overwhelmingly male. Even more striking, at the pre-legislative hearing, the high table itself reflected 10 male legislators (Clerk of parliament, SLPP & APC) to just 1 female (Hon. Veronica Kadie Sesay – SLPP)...
